Milestone for AJ Vaccines towards strengthening our footprint in Jordan and the Middle East

AJ Vaccines participated in the 12th International Conference of the Jordanian Association of Urological Surgeons October 2021 in Amman, Jordan. This was our first event in the Middle East and only made possible via collaboration with our regional business partner, Amsterdam Medical & Scientific Alliance BV and its local distributor Arab Drug Store Co.

We were honoured to have the key opinion leaders, among which Dr Rami Alazab, Rami Ghanem, Ghassan Talahmeh and Dr Zeid AbuGhosh at our booth and have the chance to discuss the roles of BCG immunotherapy on people living with bladder cancer.

“Bladder cancer is the tenth most common cancer worldwide, yet it has a higher prevalence in Jordan where it ranks fourth overall and third in men. Both incidence and mortality are sadly on the increase. AJ Vaccines has provided BCG immunotherapy for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) for over 30 years globally. Our aim with our collaboration is to put health within reach throughout the region,” adds Rita Ghossein, Head of Pharma Division of our regional business partner Amsterdam Medical & Scientific Alliance BV.

AJ Vaccines supplies Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) Vaccine and Tuberculin to several countries in the region.

“Being present at the congress was an important milestone for AJ Vaccines exploring new opportunities and as well as strengthen our footprint in Jordan and the Middle East,” says Jérôme Cabannes, COO of AJ Vaccines.
