Change of guard at AJ Vaccines A/S
CEO Jesper Helmuth Larsen leaves AJ Vaccines A/S effective 31 January 2022. He will be succeeded by Ole Vahlgren who will assume the responsibility as CEO of AJ Vaccines A/S effective today 1 February 2022. We are pleased to welcome Ole Vahlgren as our new CEO.

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of BCG
2021 is the centennial year of the first administration of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG). As the BCG vaccine was developed at the Institut Pasteur de Lille under the direction of Albert Calmette and Camille Guérin, the Institute has decided to celebrate this important anniversary in the form of an international scientific symposium on all aspects of BCG from 17-19 November. As one of a few BCG vaccine manufacturers in the world we are pleased to participate.

AJ Vaccines intend to widen activities in the Middle East Region
AJ Vaccines’ production site-facility in Copenhagen, Denmark has been approved by the Gulf Health Council (GHC) effective 9 November 2020. The approval indicates the vaccine production is at a high standard which will help to secure timely patient access to vaccines in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and wider Middle Eastern region.

Breakthrough in the global battle against polio: AJ Vaccines granted WHO prequalification for new polio vaccine
International vaccine manufacturer, AJ Vaccines has received WHO prequalification for Picovax®, the first stand-alone dose sparing Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) on 21st April 2020.
