Leigh Raithby is a global health professional who has spent the past five years working on tuberculosis (TB) policy and advocacy in Canada, with a focus on increasing political awareness and investment. Now based in Copenhagen, she continues to engage with global TB efforts, bringing a perspective shaped by work in high-income, low-burden settings where TB is often misunderstood or overlooked.

Petra Heitkamp is a global public health specialist who has worked with tuberculosis (TB) for decades across research, policy, and implementation. She has supported TB programmes through roles with organisations such as WHO and the Stop TB Partnership, and has spent significant time working with country teams and communities to improve how TB services reach people in practice. 

Kathy has worked with tuberculosis (TB) and public health since the early 1990s. Early in her career, she realised that TB is not only an infectious disease. It is also a social disease that develops on top of other pressures in people’s lives: poverty, overcrowded housing, poor ventilation, dusty working conditions and lack of proper nutrition. 

Blessina (“Blessi”) Kumar is CEO of the Global Coalition of TB Advocates (GCTA). For nearly two decades, she has championed a people-centred, rights-based approach to tuberculosis (TB), focusing on ensuring that people affected by TB are included in decisions that shape policies and programmes.
